Puyan Saheb Djavaher creates handmade gowns and unique clothing for special occasions. In her Berlin-based studio, Saheb Djavaher and her team collaborate with a wide range of craftspeople to realize technically challenging designs. Her appreciation for manual artistic labour drives her to continuously discover long-standing traditions from different cultural regions and bring those back to life in her joyful, yet elegant and timeless pieces.
It was a joy to shoot the new collection of the wonderful Puyan Saheb Djavaher. I was inspired by late Renaissance and Baroque painters of the 16th and 17th centuries who utilized bold, dramatic contrast between light and dark called Chiaroscuro.

With over 20.000 visitors each year, re:publica is Europes largest digital society festival. re:publica participants represent a cross-section of (digital) society, which include professionals from economics, politics, business, hacker culture, NGOs, media, and marketing, as well as bloggers, activists, artists, and social media experts.
A series I did on a road trip through California. No concept, just freedom.

Ask yourself, what idea do you have of a youth in a former East German Plattenbausiedlung in Berlin? Sure the common cliches about those suburbs don‘t come from nothing. But I can tell you, there is a lot more to say about these kids growing up in such an environment. In cooperation with the youth club Fair, I did a portrait workshop and asked them to show me how they want to be seen. I was deeply impressed by there response.
